Villages of Hassan

These were the days I started falling in love with  my India for many small things. It was a memorable experience to travel with my good friend and business partner Ms Etera Hess and her hudband Mr Maciej from Poland. I reached Bangalore to receive this young couple because I had to respect the real interest of Estera to see South India and you may not believe she left Poland whn her first born baby turned three months… But ofcourse the little Barbara was more than happy with her Grandma…
I am taking a small jump to our stay in Hassan,a small village township in Karnataka which is approximately 5 hours drive away from Bangalore. We had to stay in Hassan to visit Belur and Halebid Temples to which I shall come later. We reached Hassan when it was almost getting dark and it was nice to have our comfortable rooms in a heritage resort… All went to sleep comparatively early as all were tired… Normally my mornings start early and at 6 AM next day, I got a knock at the door and it was Estera and Maciej who were ready with bycycles to go for a round… I took my bycycle also and we got a guide from the resort to take us to the nearby village… Estera and Maciej were young and used to cycling but my case was different…
The village was around 4 kms away and we reached the place on time to see the real lively village… It was an amazing scene to see both men and women squeezing milk from cows, some women taking milk to their local Co Operative Society, children getting ready to go the schools... We went deep into the village and it was nice that we met the real soul of Indian villages. Very hospitable people with laughing faces, happy faces inspite of an ordinary life and much more… I am sure the real life is in the villages and it was an eye opener for me after long years as I was always travelling in the cities...

Hassan is basically a farmer village surrounded by big farms and plantations. Livestock is a booming agriculture and livelihood for many. We left the place with a strong feeling to come back soon…

Destinations and More - My Travel Idea about India

Sometimes its interesting to think why we are on this beautiful planet… But any navigation on this topic should stop you at a point to conclude that you are designed to undertake a unique portfolio. That’s it... When I learnt English Language and Literature through my Graduation and Post Graduation, I thought I will end up as a good English Teacher by profession, because I knew I will not be a writer anyway... But I was designed for something else and started my career in Marketing but could not continue beyond 5 years. Finally I landed in Hospitality and that too in Travel… Finally I am here for the last 16 long years… Wow it was an amazing era in my life to involve into and evolve from Hospitality.

The path was not at all smooth to be in the Industry as the so called Industry giants had already grabbed the main markets with their wide networks. On realizing the fact that I need to be special to a traveler, I started my discovery into that “More” element in any destination... This discovery demanded a lot of personal experiences as I believed in not offering any product or service without my conviction... So I started travelling in India as all our services are being offered in exploring India... Every travel gifted me an experience which strengthened my great feeling and love for my Country… Its amazing from many aspects and its huge to cover in a life time... India is wonderful in her villages and Cities. India is colorful in her architecture and art forms. India is vibrant in her festivals and culture... And finally the people, it’s amazing... India is more than what is seen...

My personal blog is in connection with my humble trials to bring out the unexplored still exciting experiences the destinations of India could offer... This is the Pilot episode to tell you what I mean by Destinations and More. I will be back on regular intervals with my travel experiences which could be interesting to any traveler who is keen on exploring the “More” in any given destination..For me it has become my passion to deliver the best possible experiences to a traveler as myself was not satisfied with the normal routine tours and always looking for that “More” in every corner of India as it is my area of operation. Of course I do the same search while I travel in any part of the world…

My humble request to my good friends and enthusiasts who read this is to share your thoughts also so that it can be a live platform for the really genuine travelers. It will help us to share the first hand views and experiences which will finally evolve as the "More" India could offer to the world.
